Subject: Urgent Follow-up on Our Appeal and Mineral Partnership Proposal
Dear Members of the Foreign Affairs Committee,
I am writing to follow up on my previous letters regarding the plight of the Gambella people
and our request for support in facilitating a political dialogue for a referendum on the
independence and reunification of the Anyuak land. Given the gravity of the situation and the
continued injustices our people face, we urge you to expedite addressing our concerns.
We understand that such matters require careful consideration; however, time is of the essence.
Our people continue to face significant challenges, and swift action is necessary to prevent
further suffering and injustice. As emphasized in our initial appeal, Denmark’s support in this
matter is crucial, and we trust that your esteemed committee will act urgently.
Furthermore, we wish to reiterate our proposal for a mutually beneficial partnership
regarding the vast mineral and oil reserves within the Anyuak land. We stand ready to
provide the Danish government with preferential access to these resources in exchange
for your support in advocating for our cause. This partnership would
benefit our people and
serve Denmark’s strategic and economic interests.
