Formål:
Formålet med rejsen er at få en status og fremtidsudsigter for Japans økonomi,
herunder særlig ift. hvorledes landets demografiske udfordringer med en aldrende
befolkning og en faldene fertilitet håndteres og italesættes i en politisk kontekst.
Derudover ønsker udvalget indsigt i, hvilke tiltag Japan har taget i den nuværende
geopolitiske situation med øget protektionisme, herunder ift. samhandel med særlig
USA og Kina, og hvordan Japan arbejder med nationale visioner og strategier
inden for bl.a. life science og udvalgte teknologier til at forbedre produktiviteten,
herunder AI.
Endeligt ønsker udvalget et indblik i samhandlen mellem Danmark og Japan og
danske virksomheders arbejde i landet.
