Dear Chairperson,
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the Hellenic Parliament,

Target participants include members of national delegations to the Parliamentary Assembly of the
Council of Europe, representatives from the Council of Europe intergovernmental sector and
convention system, representatives from international sports organisations and other regional and
international organisations, experts and practitioners in sports governance, integrity, equality and
inclusion, as well as advocacy groups and NGOs focused on sports-related issues.
In view of the very important role of national parliaments in this regard, in addition to the members of
the PACE ad-hoc committee constituted to represent the Assembly in the conference, we would like to
extend an invitation to representatives of committees of national parliaments responsible for issues to
be covered by the conference. Kindly note that, as it is already the case for members of the ad hoc
committee, participation costs shall be borne by national parliaments.
I would therefore be grateful if you could forward this invitation to the Chairperson(s) of relevant
committees in your national parliament.
Upon designation of one to two representatives of the national parliament, a formal invitation letter will
be addressed to the designated member(s) of parliament.
I would appreciate it if the names of designated representatives could be sent to Ms Bohumila Ottova,
the Conference Assistant, by 15 August 2024.
Ms Liri Kopaci-Di Michele, Head of the Parliamentary and Electoral Cooperation Division
([email protected]) and Ms Bohumila Ottova, Conference Assistant,
([email protected]), remain at your disposal for any questions you may have.
You will also find attached, for your information the background information and preliminary draft
programme of the Conference.
I look forward to our continued cooperation and I wish you a pleasant summer break.
Yours sincerely,
Despina Chatzivassiliou-Tsovilis
