Dear Ms Ida Holmgaard,
On behalf of the Office of the Committee for the Future of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, I would
like to inquire about the availability of your Office of the Higher Education and Research Committee to
host the delegation of our Office in the framework of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public
Administration.
The Mobility Programme aims are to promote and strengthen cooperation, exchange of knowledge, and
connections between public administration structures at all administrative levels in the Nordic and Baltic
regions.
Our purpose of the Mobility Programme is to explore practices of parliamentary anticipatory governance
in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
We are well aware how important futures governance becomes in every branch of the public governance
system, and that countries of our region have prominent, although different, traditions of anticipation and
foresight in parliamentary activities. We believe that sharing these practices and developing a network of
collaboration may be beneficial to all Nordic-Baltic Parliaments. By fostering cooperation and knowledge
exchange, this programme can help us address common challenges and learn from the best practices
implemented by Nordic and Baltic counterparts.
The delegation of our Office would consist of six members, namely, the Head of the Office and five
advisers. The estimated time of the visit is the spring or summer of 2024. We would be more than happy to
coordinate with you the exact timing and the detailed programme of the visit.
Please kindly note that the Mobility Programme would cover all the expenses of our visit, including travel
