Dear Colleagues,
We have the pleasure to invite you to participate in a joint Conference of Milli Majlis of the
Republic of Azerbaijan and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on “The role of the national
parliaments in promoting security and stability through “green economy”, connectivity and
sustainable development” in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 22-23 May 2023.
The Conference will draw attention to the cross-cutting benefits of a transition to an inclusive
“green economy” in the post-pandemic era for boosting connectivity, sustainable development,
and stability. It will also provide an open platform for members of our Assembly to exchange
experiences and lessons learned related to green recovery and clean energy transition.
The two-day event will feature thematic panels and a field visit to get acquainted with the best
practices of Azerbaijan in applying “green energy”, “smart city” and “smart village” concepts.
The Invitation letter by Prof. Dr. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of
Azerbaijan, Preliminary Programme, Concept Note and Practical Information are attached
herewith.
