Dear Mr. Juel-Jensen,
As you are well aware, on the 24
th
of February it will be one year since the russian
federation has launched a full-scale war of aggression against my country. A decision
to start this invasion was widely supported by the russian parliamentarians, including
all members of the russian delegation to the OSCE PA.
Our consolidated position with regard to the aggressor state and its accomplice
is of crucial importance to restore peace and stability in Europe as well as respect for
the principles of the Helsinki Final Act.
We are well informed that it could be the provocations on 23-24 February and
the risks. In this regard, I have addressed to Ms.Margareta Cederfelt, President of the
OSCE PA to call on extraordinary Bureau meeting (letter enclosed).
We believe that under these extraordinary and exceptional circumstances the
OSCE PA Bureau can be convened for an urgent meeting to adopt an appropriate
decision to postpone the Winter meeting.
We call our friends to support our proposal.
