It is with great pleasure that we would like to invite you to our inter-
parliamentary conference on “Circular bioeconomy: the pathway to an
innovative, resource efficient and competitive Europe”. The conference will be
held online and will also be streamed live so that anyone wishing to follow the
discussion can do so on the Riksdag’s website.
Bioeconomy is already one of Europe’s largest economic sectors, and it plays an
essential role in the transition of our society as well as the implementation of the
European Green Deal. At the same time, additional measures are required in
order to maximise the potential of bioeconomy. The aim of the conference is both
to create an arena for the exchange of ideas and best practices within circular
bioeconomy, as well as to identify future opportunities and challenges. In
addition to presentations by speakers from different sectors and parts of Europe,
participants will also be able to discuss the issues of the conference in smaller
groups. We are convinced that your participation will contribute to an interesting
and stimulating meeting.
