Dear Honourable,
On behalf of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and IMF, it is my pleasure to announce that the 2023 Global
Parliamentary Forum (GPF), jointly organised with the World Bank and the IMF, will be taking place
in-person in
Marrakech, Morocco,
on 9 October 2023, ahead of the 2023 Annual Meetings (AMs).
I hereby, invite you to express your interest in participating by clicking on this link
(https://form.jotform.com/PNOWB/2023-global-parliamentary-forum) and filling out the online registration form. This
is a necessary step to be allowed into the event, as well as to receive the agenda and other related documents. Please
use an institutional email address, or a yahoo or gmail address containing your full name when registering.
After completing the form, our team will register you for Annual Meetings.
Due to protocol reasons, your registration
to the AMs is required and must be approved by the World Bank and IMF before you can access the buildings.
This is
a twofold process: (1) After submitting the application, you will receive an “acknowledgment” email to the address
indicated during the submission. This is
not
a confirmation and should not be used in any case as basis for travelling to
Morocco. (2) After revision by the World Bank and IMF teams, you will receive a second email acknowledging
accreditation “confirmation”. Entry at the airport can be denied if you are unable to show proof of accreditation. Please
consult your email regularly to see any updates on your status.
Given limited accommodation capacity in the city, we kindly advise you to book your hotel as soon as you receive the
accreditation email. The latter will contain important information concerning hotels and transportation in Marrakesh.
Please kindly note that this is a restricted event and participants will be approved on first come, first served basis; while
taking into account gender and country balance. This event is exclusively reserved for Members of Parliament holding
a current mandate.
Registrations for the Forum will be open until
Friday, 8 September.
For further information, please contact
[email protected]
or
[email protected].
I look forward to meeting you in person in Marrakech.
With my very best wishes,
The Rt Hon Liam Byrne MP, UK
Chair of the Parliamentary Network
on the World Bank and IMF
