The National Intellectual Property Administration of P. R. China and the

Danish Patent and Trademark Office, hereinafter referred to as “the Parties",

recognizing the importance of intellectual property in promoting a strong

national and global economy, encouraging economic investment in innovation

and fostering entrepreneurial spirit;

desiring to further bilateral Cooperation between the Parties to strengthen

existing intellectual property systems by establishing a mechanism to have

regular exchanges of infonnation and best practices and to jointly undertake

Cooperation activities;

Agree to the following Memorandum of Understanding (“Memorandum").

Mutual information exchange on important legislation changes in

relation to the topics mentioned in Article 1 including changes in

guidelines and practices

Organization of common seminars, workshops and working meetings

Other areas of Cooperation upon Parties' agreement

The Parties each undertake to bear its own costs and expenditures that it might

incur in the course of implementing this Memorandum. No reimbursement

should be claimed from the other unless expressly decided in writing

beforehand.

The Parties will expand and develop bilateral relations in the sphere of

trademarks, patents, geographical indications and other IPR related topics.

Article 2

This Memorandum is not preventing the Parties to take part in bilateral and

multilateral Cooperation with other countries in the sphere of intellectual

property.

The Cooperation of the Parties in the sphere of intellectual property shall cover

Committee meetings shall be held on annual basis. The meetings are held in

altemate venues of the Parties. Additional meetings can be held as agreed

but should endeavour to give at least 3 (three) months' prior written notice of

discontinuation to the other Party.

Any dispute and differences that may arise in the interpretation and

implementation of or otherwise relating to this Memorandum are to be settled

Copenhagen respectively and is made out in two Originals, each composed of a

Chinese version and an English version, both being formal versions and of equal
