Rasmus
Nordqvist
Rasmus Nordqvist is a member of the Danish
Parliament for the Green Left/SF. Nordqvist is the
spokesperson on international development and
Nordic cooperation as well as climate, agriculture,
and green entrepreneurship. Also, among others
he is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee
and substitute in the Foreign Policy Committee.
He is a member of the executive committee of
the European Greens.

Katarina
Ammitzbøll
Katarina Ammitzbøll has been a member of the
Danish parliament since 2019 for the Conservative
People’s Party and has been a member of the Gen-
tofte Municipal Council. She is the spokesperson
on human rights and development cooperation,
and a member of the Climate, Energy and Utilities
Committee, and the Foreign Affairs Committee.
Ammitzbøll has experience in strategy and sustai-
nability, diplomacy, and development program.

Bo
Lidegaard
Bo Lidegaard is a Danish historian, dr. phil.,
and co-founder and partner at Kaya Research.
Lidegaard has worked as a top civil servant in
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and for the Danish
government and is a former editor-in-chief of the
newspaper Politiken. He has published several
best-selling books. For his writing, Lidegaard has
received Danish as well as international awards
and prizes.

Wai Wai
Nu
Wai Wai Nu is the founder and Executive Director of
the Women Peace Network in Myanmar, the founder
of Yangon Youth Center and the co-founder of
Justice for Women in Yangon. She is a former politi-
cal prisoner. Nu has been recognized as a Champion
of Prevention by the UN Office of the Prevention
of Genocide and Responsibility to Protect and has
received numerous prices including the Hillary Rod-
ham Clinton award in 2018. Nu was named a Young
Global Leader by World Economic Forum, a Next
Generation Leader by Time Magazine, and Women of
the Year in Financial Times.

Avner
Gvaryahu
Avner Gvaryahu was born in the Israeli city of
Rehovot. During his army service, he served in
the special forces of the paratrooper’s brigade,
where he attained the rank of staff sergeant. A
year after he was discharged, he joined Breaking
the Silence as a researcher and tour guide with
a focus on working with world Jewry and later
became director of the Public Outreach. Since
August 2017, he is the organization’s Executive
Director. Gvaryahu holds a B.A. in Social Work
from Tel Aviv University and an M.A from the
Institute for the Study of Human Rights at
Columbia University.

Morten
Kjærum
Morten Kjærum has been the Director of the
Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and
Humanitarian Law in Sweden since 2015. Previ-
ously he directed the EU Agency for Fundamental
Rights and the Danish Institute for Human Rights.
He is a member of the UN board of Trustees of
the Voluntary Fund for Technical Cooperation
in the Field of Human Rights and the UN Human
Rights fund for Technical Assistance. In 2013 he
was rewarded an honorary professorship at the
University of Aalborg, Denmark.

Brian
J. Dooley 
Brian J. Dooley is a human rights activist and author.
He is a Senior Advisor for the United Nations
Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights
defenders, and Senior Advisor at the Washington
DC-based NGO Human Rights First. He is also a
Visiting Scholar at University College, London (UCL).
He has served for 8 years as an advisory board
member of the Gulf Centre for Human Rights and
was a Visiting Scholar at Fordham University Law
School in New York. In 2022, The Oxford Middle
East Review profiled Dooley on four decades of
activism and his approach to human rights work.

Hindou
Oumarou Ibrahim 
 
Hindou Omarou Ibrahim is a Chadian environmental
activist and geographer, expert in adaptation and
mitigation of indigenous people in relation to
traditional knowledge and climate change. She is
the founder and coordinator of the Association of
Peul Women and Autochthonous Peoples of Chad, a
community-based organization focusing on promo-
ting the rights of girls and women, and advocates for
leadership and environmental protection. Omarou
Ibrahim has served as the Co-Director of the pavilion
of the World Indigenous Peoples’ Initiative at COP21,
COP22, and COP23.

Henrik
Vinther Olesen 
Henrik Vinther Olesen is the Group Vice President
for Communication, CSR, and Public Affairs at
Salling Group, Denmark. Vinther Olesen is a former
journalist of many years, education director at the
newspaper Jyllands-Posten, and former member of
the Danish Parliament for the Social Liberal Party.
Vinther Olesen is also a board member of Ligeværd,
a political organization that works to make a
difference for children, youth, and adults with
special needs.

Birgitte
Qvist-Sørensen
Birgitte Qvist-Sørensen has been the General
Secretary of DanChurchAid since 2014. She has an
extensive executive management experience in
international development, humanitarian assistance,
and conflict resolution, and is a board member of
the Council for Development Policy, Danish Ministry
of Foreign Affairs, member of the Danish Think Tank
One/Third on Global Food Waste. She is a former
Country Director for Save the Children, worked with
UNIFEM with responsibility for women’s projects in
Southeast Asia, and is a former Director of Social
and Health Services in Elsinore municipality.

Michael
Omaria  
Michael Omaria is an Ugandan priest and the pro-
ject manager and coordinator for DanChurchAid’s
partner organization SOCADIDO (Soroti Catholic
Diocese Integrated Development Organization). In
cooperation SOCADIDO and DanChurchAid work
to strengthen economic, environmental, and social
conditions for Ugandan smallholder farmers and
their families to create sustainable and climate-
resistant societies.

Hanna Line
Jakobsen 
Hanna Line Jakobsen is the Senior Vice President,
Social & Humanitarian, at the Novo Nordisk
Foundation. She is a former Director of Business
Development at UNICEF Denmark, Manager of
Social Donations national and international at the
Obel Family Foundation, and a Senior Consultant
in the Education Department at DJØF. Jakobsen is
a board member of the Investment Fund for
Developing Countries and has been appointed by
the Minister of Innovation to the board of the
Social Investment Fund.

Sofie Junge
Pedersen 
 
Sofie Junge Pedersen is a Danish footballer who
plays as a midfielder for the Danish national team
and Juventus, Italy. She has previously played for
IK Skovbakken and Fortuna Hjørring in the Danish
Elite division, and for FC Rosengård in Sweden.
She is a DanChurchAid-ambassador for WE PLAY
GREEN and uses her position to promote climate
action amongst football teams and players.

Flemming Møller
Mortensen
Flemming Møller Mortensen is the Danish
Minister for Development Cooperation. He has
been a member of the Danish Parliament for the
Social Democratic Party since 2007.
