We are pleased to invite you to participate in the
International Astronautical Federation’s
International Meeting for Ministers and Members of Parliaments to be held on
Saturday 17
September 2022 in Paris,
France, before the
73
rd
International Astronautical Congress (IAC).
The
International Astronautical Federation (IAF)
is a global non-governmental organization whose
main objective is to disseminate knowledge about space technology and to foster international
cooperation. In pursuit of this objective, the IAF organized an annual Meeting for Members of
Parliaments to offer them a platform to meet and discuss the potential of current and future space
technologies for the benefit of their societies.
After over a decade of success, the event has now been opened to Ministers responsible for space
policies and science within their countries to further enrich the discussion and a short panel targeting
MoPs and Ministers has been successfully included in the IAF Global Conference for Space for
Emerging Countries, held in Quito, Ecuador at the end of May 2022.
In Paris, the participants will not only have the opportunity of presenting their national expertise but
will also have the chance of exchanging opinions and good practices with their peers and gain premium
insights thanks to the presentation from main space experts.
At the end of the meeting, we will organize a
Press Conference
for all the parliamentarians who took
part in the event. Your intervention during the meeting will be recorded, and this recording will be
shared with you after the event. We hope that this will support in further spreading the importance
of space within your country.
In addition to this, we wish to further enrich your experience by inviting you as a guest of honour to
attend the Opening Day of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), on Sunday 18 September,

and to participate in a special private visit to the French Senate, hosted in the world renown
Palais du
Luxembourg,
on Monday 19.
Moreover, the Programme of the MMoP meeting includes an invitation for a formal dinner on Sunday
24 October, where you are invited to further network with your colleagues in a more relaxed
environment.
To guarantee the success of the meeting as a forum for the MMoPs
to present their country’s
experiences and goals, we strongly encourage all the attendees to give a short presentation
concerning one or more of the following topics:
