Luxembourg, 31 January 2022
Dear Mrs Cederfelt
President of OSCE PA,
The Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has been committed to the fight
against anti-Semitism for many years.
The excesses of the anti-vaccine and anti-sanitary protest movements have highlighted a
frightening trivialisation of the darkest years of our history linked to anti-Semitism.
In order to address this worrying trend, the Chamber of Deputies has decided to give more
visibility to the #weremember campaign this year by launching a project aimed at engaging
citizens in their daily lives (see attached document).
Posters with a graphic of the train lines leading to the concentration camps have been
displayed in stations, trains, trams and bus shelters. Shadows to remember the many people
who were deported have been displayed in different public places such as train stations,
squares or institutions. At the same time, an awareness-raising campaign has been launched
in the print and online media, as well as on social networks.
Through this campaign we want to confirm our will to defend the values of freedom, human
dignity, tolerance and equality.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.
Fernand Etgen
Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies
of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
