Ladies and Gentlemen Presidents,
Dear Colleagues,
On 13 and 14 March next, on the occasion of the French Presidency of the
Council of the European Union, it will be our pleasure to welcome you to
the Interparliamentary Conference meeting on the strategic economic
autonomy of the European Union, which will take place at the Luxembourg
Palace, seat of the Senate of the French Republic in Paris. Please note that
we can receive up to four members per national parliament, two members
per chamber for parliaments with a bicameral system. In order for all
delegations to be able to contribute to the work of the Conference, the
possibility of remote participation, via a hybrid format, will also be provided
for by the French Presidency.
This conference represents an opportunity to reflect jointly on defining
priorities and developing tools in order to improve the strategic economic
autonomy of the Union, as geopolitical tensions and the Covid-19 pandemic
have given rise to new challenges.
