Dear Members of national Parliaments,
EWA would like to thank you very much for expressing your interest in participating to
“Women At Work 2030”.
Although EWA considered that the anti Covid-19 rules applied in the European Parliament
would allow hosting events in November, EWA learned from the last official decision of the
European Parliament, that the precautionary rules still apply and, in order to avoid further
spread of the virus, the European Parliament does not allow the organization of events. This
condition prevent EWA to host the “Women At Work 2030” launch event as foreseen on 18th
November 2021.
Considering the value of the initiative, the importance of gathering a broad European network,
we believe it is essential to ensure a physical meeting in the European Parliament premises and
strength the tools of interaction through remote participation. Unfortunately, the rules in force
from now to the next weeks do not allow such a possibility.
In compliance with the European Parliament decision and safety rules, EWA regrets to
announce that the launch event of 18 November is postponed to the first quarter of 2022. EWA
will provide in due time the date of the meeting as soon as the European Parliament will
confirm the possibility to host events again.
I please you to do not hesitate to contact me in case you should have further inquiries.
Yours sincerely,
Co-Founder and President of the European Women Alliance
