As mentioned in yesterday's MMM, please find enclosed the motion adopted in the plenary session
of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies last Thursday (24 February) in its original version (FR).

„ Call on the Government to strongly condemn the unprovoked and unjustified attack on Ukraine by
the Russian Federation“
The Chamber of Deputies
- considering the military operations launched by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory on
24th February 2022 ;
- considering the recognition of the independence of the Luhansk and Donetsk Republics by the
Russian Federation, which puts a de facto end to the Minsk agreements ;
- considering the diplomatic efforts put into motion regarding the conflict between Ukraine and
Russia over the past days and weeks ;
calls on the Government :
- to strongly condemn the unprovoked and unjustified attack on Ukraine by the Russian Federation,
which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law ;
- to demand that the Russian Federation immediately cease its military operations and withdraw its
forces from Ukrainian territory
- to call on the Russian Federation to resolve this conflict peacefully;
- to call for solidarity with Ukraine at the level of the European Union, which should speak in
unison concerning this flagrant violation of international law.
