We are pleased to inform you that the IPU is co-organizing with UNAIDS, the European Parliament, the Pan-
African Parliament and UNITE a virtual session on “The
critical role of parliamentarians to end inequalities
for ending AIDS, Stopping COVID-19 and preparing for future pandemics”.
It will take place on
9 February
from 13:00 to 15:00 CET (Geneva).

Ahead of the European Union – African Union Summit on 17 and 18 February, the virtual session will
discuss the socio-economic impact of COVID-19 and how lessons learned from the HIV epidemic can be
applied to future pandemic preparedness and response in Africa.
The virtual session is open to all interested parliamentarians and parliamentary staff.
