new work sharing rule (under salary compensation)
Hi,
First of all I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the Government for all their
efforts, support and hard work to fight the global Pandemic (Covid-19).
My question or inquiry is in general about the new Work sharing Rule.
The general understanding from the new compensation rule is that the Government, Union(A-kassa)
and Employer Association came into the agreement that Union (A-kassa) will pay 20 to 50 % of
salary and rest by the Company (employer).
Now the point is, due to this new rule there are certain categories of visa holders who are suffering
badly.
for example Green Card, work permit, positive list, pay limit visa etc.
Above visa holders have to work full time and earn a fixed amount monthly to apply for extension
and further it will be more complicated for them to apply for their PR in near future.
Technical problem:
If above visa holder avail the work sharing rule than 50% of salary will be paid by A-kassa and
because of this in future they have to face problems during visa extension and PR (this is due to
current immigration rules)
if above visa holder do not avail work sharing rule than they will lose 50% of salary and will fail to
meet the full time work and salary. Again they have to face problems during visa extension and PR.
Hope committee and government are aware about this technical problem and I am sure that the
committee will come out with a better solution at the earliest please.
Solution request:
All the employees who are in the Work sharing Rule will be counted under normal working hours
and salary and will not be affected by above mentioned technical problems. This exemption will
apply and is only limited to all the employees who are availing Work Sharing Rules.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
