Dear Prime Minister Frederiksen
I am a British citizen and writing concerning the tragedy of the culling of 17
million minks due to fur farming and Covid in Denmark.
People in Britain are very surprised to hear that Denmark farms mink for fur.
Wearing fur is not appropriate in these enlightened times, and it is particularly
sad that a Scandinavian country, usually regarded as modern, forward-thinking
and humane, should be engaging in such an out-dated and inhumane practice.
Further, the evidence for requiring a cull is very weak, as underlined by the
Chief Scientist of the WHO. I hope you will therefore reconsider this drastic
action.
I hope after this disaster you will call a complete halt to the cruel practice of
farming animals for their fur and will outlaw it immediately.
