Invitation letter to the National Parliament - EWA Event
Dear National Parliament Representatives,
Enclosed please find the letter of invitation from the European Women Alliance (EWA) addressed to
the Presidents of the Chambers of the National Parliaments to the launch event “Women at Work
2030" A roadmap for employment, skills and social protection”. The event is organised by the not-
for-profit association EWA and will take place on 18th November 2021 from 14:00 to 16:00.
I am pleased, together with a number of other Vice-Presidents and MEPs, to support the initiative.
“Women at Work 2030” is a process where National Parliaments, EU leaders, institutions, social
partners, civil society and academia exchange views and put forward policy proposals in a permanent
forum to relaunch labour and social policies with a gender perspective.
The European Women Alliance will act as the secretariat and the event will be structured in three
working groups, focused on the following priorities: employment, skills and social protection. During
the launch event the three working groups will be formed.
As long as COVID19 restrictions remain in place, the working group meetings and the plenaries will
be held remotely and/or via a hybrid form of participation.
EWA asks that this invitation is circulated to all the political groups of your national Chamber in
order to identify Members attending the initiative. Every political group should designate up to three
Members. Female participation is highly encouraged.
Names should be communicated as soon as possible to the EWA secretariat that is responsible for the
organisation of the initiative via this form. For any inquiry, please contact
The agenda and supporting document will be transmitted in the following weeks to the Members
registered to the event.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Roberta
