I am pleased to write to you in follow up to the 206th Governing Council (extraordinary
and virtual) session held earlier this month, when a number of important decisions
were taken and the IPU Members elected the new IPU President.
I would like to thank you most sincerely for all your support in the lead up to and
during this unprecedented event. Our Secretariat recognizes the key role each and
every one of you played in mobilizing and supporting your Governing Council
members and parliaments. I have no doubt that the success of this major digital
conference is in no small measure also due to your commitment and engagement.
For your information, the Results of the 206th session will be circulated and posted on
the IPU website in the coming days.
