Addendum to the Danish response to the Commission’s invitation to
comment on the revised Guidelines on State aid to promote risk fi-
nance investments
By letter of 30 June 2021, the Danish Government sent its response to the
revised Guidelines on State aid to promote risk finance investments. This
is an addendum to the Danish response.
Denmark has some concerns regarding the transparency threshold in pro-
vision 178 that has been changed from 200 000 EUR to 100 000 EUR in
the revised Guidelines. In general, the Danish Government supports State
aid transparency and reasonable thresholds for publishing aid granted to
individual beneficiaries. However, the Danish Government finds it unnec-
essary to lower the threshold for publishing individual aid awards on com-
prehensive national State aid websites from 200 000 EUR to 100 000 EUR
since the administrative burden connected to this new and lower threshold
is too burdensome. Therefore, the Danish Government proposes to main-
tain the transparency threshold in provision 178 at 200 000 EUR.
