This is Klara
•
17 years old
•
Lives in Stockholm, Sweden
•
Attends high school
•
Active water polo player
•
Lives a normal life with her friends and
family
But something is a bit different…
•
Diagnosed with diabetes type 1 at age
1,5 years

This is Klara!
•
When the rest of us suddenly can decide
to take a weekend abroad, just bringing
our passport and a credit card, Klara – as
a diabetic patient could do the same, but
the situation would be totally different.
•
Klara would have had to plan – and plan
again – to be sure she had everything she
needed of medication, medical
equipment and necessary patient data,
just in case something should happen
abroad.
•
The reason for this is that when she
crosses the borders, her medical history
does not follow.
•
It does not have to be like that!

Our mission

border healthcare ecosystem, by showcasing and implementing
world class solutions and innovations from the Nordics.

Our ambition is high!
“In 2030 the Nordics will be the most sustainable and
integrated health region in the world, providing the best
possible personalized health care for all its citizens.”
This ambition is not set by us.
This ambition is already defined by the Nordic Council of Ministers/Nordic Innovation.
We have only adapted it and want to make this vision come to live.

We break down barriers and build up solutions
for international patient data interoperability.

Guiding principles:
•
All 5 Nordic countries should be involved in the project
•
Representation from all parties in a tetra helix approach;
•
industry, government, public healthcare, patients
•
Showcase technical solutions to spark ideas and input, but also
addressing the barriers hindering “cross border patient mobility”
today.
•
A Nordic focus (vs. the world), and being a starting point for
showcasing Nordic spearhead solutions and increase focus on
Nordic healthcare IT business development.
