ANNUAL SESSION CANCELLATION NOTICE
Please note that
the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's 29th Annual Session, scheduled to take
place in Vancouver, Canada from 03 to 07 July has regrettably been cancelled.
This joint
decision has been taken after careful consideration, due to the current pandemic caused by
COVID-19, by taking into account the health and safety of all participants and in view of the
uncertainty and expected restrictions for travel and the holding of large events in the
upcoming months, which would not allow for a regular organization and proceeding of the
Annual Session.
The Bureau of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly at its next meeting to be held via video
conference on 27 April will discuss, consider and decide on the necessary measures pertaining
to the cancellation of the Annual Session and ensure the efficient operations of the Assembly
in close connection with the OSCE PA Secretary General and the International Secretariat.
The OSCE PA leadership and International Secretariat are active and working remotely in
telecommuting modality and are in close touch with members, OSCE Institutions,
International Parliamentary Assemblies as well as other International organizations to ensure
continuity of crucial parliamentary functions. Any further information pertaining to the
upcoming activities of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will be communicated by the
International Secretariat when available.
