Dear Member,
Further to my letter of 16 December concerning developments regarding the Assembly’s
Bureau, I am pleased to inform you that in accordance with Article 9 of the Assembly’s Rules,
the Bureau has unanimously appointed Mr Philippe Folliot (France) as acting Vice-President
to fulfil the mandate vacated by Miguel Angel Gutiérrez.
That mandate concludes at the Annual Session in Athens in November 2020 so Mr Folliot will
not be eligible for re-election as Vice-President at that Session.
Consultations regarding an acting Vice-President to fulfil the mandate vacated by Richard
Benyon (United Kingdom) will resume early in 2020.
