To the Danish Parliament
Subject:
Call on the Danish Parliament to enhance the positive response of the European Union
to the peace and dialogue initiative launched by Moroccan King Mohammed VI to
settle disputes between Morocco and Algeria
The Scandinavian Forum for Communication (SOFT) would like to call on the Danish Parliament to
enhance the positive response of the European Union to the peace and dialogue initiative
launched by HM King Mohammed VI, to settle the transient differences between Morocco and
Algeria.
This initiative proposes to create a joint political consultation mechanism between the two
countries as a way to examine all outstanding issues and find appropriate solutions.
The call of the Scandinavian Forum for Communication (SOFT) is motivated by the positive impact
that this historic initiative can have on the stability of the North Africa Region, as well alleviating
the dangers that threaten the European Union countries (terrorism, illegal immigration, drug
trafficking, ...).
Furthermore, this initiative will strengthen security cooperation between the two countries in
order to put an end to many scourges, such as terrorism and illegal immigration.
The appeal of the King of Morocco will also have positive repercussions on economic cooperation
between the European Union and the countries of North Africa, insofar as these countries can
form an integrated economic bloc, capable of promoting trade and facilitating North-South
dialogue.
