Meeting Venues and Access

The Meeting will take place from 19 to 20 March 2019, in the

I.I.C. Brătianu Hall,

Palace of Parliament.

Rooms for bilateral meetings will be provided upon request.

Access to the Meeting venue is made through the official entrance – C1 –

located on Constitution Square.

Registration and accreditation

The Romanian Presidency has implemented an online registration system for all

meetings. You are kindly requested to notify the data of a Delegation Accreditation

Officer (DAO) of your Chamber/Parliament (first name and last name, institution, e-mail

address and phone number) to the following e-mail address:

[email protected].

The DAO will receive a link to the registration system via e-mail, at which he/she can

follow the accreditation status in the system and make modifications among the

registered persons until the registration deadline.

Every DAO is kindly asked to fill in the online registration form for the whole delegation.

The deadline for the registrations is 9 March 2019.

Welcome and registration desks will be open at the recommended hotels on

Tuesday,

19 March 2019, from 09:00 to 14:30

in order to provide the Meeting welcoming bags.

Delegates arriving later will be able to register at the Meeting venue on

Tuesday, 19

March 2019, from 14:30.

For security reasons, all participants are requested to wear their identity

badges visibly at all times during the event. If you lose your identity badge,

please contact the organisers immediately.

Delegates not staying at one of the recommended hotels are requested to notify the

organisers in which of the recommended hotels they would prefer to register for the

Meeting (at the indicated times). They are also welcome to join the transfers from this

preferred hotel to the Palace of Parliament.

Transport

Delegations are kindly requested to make their own arrangements for transportation

from and to the airport. Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport is located about

19 km away from the city centre, which is approximately 30 minute-drive depending on

the traffic. From the airport, you may reach Bucharest by bus or taxi.

Transportation services will be provided by the Romanian Parliament between the

recommended hotels to the Palace of Parliament as indicated in the draft programme.

Interpretation

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided during the meeting in Romanian, English

and French.

The delegations wishing to bring their own interpreters should know that a number of

seven booths will be provided on a

first-come, first-served basis.

We kindly invite you

to notify the organisers about the need for such booths in advance.

Taking the floor

Participants who wish to take the floor during the event are kindly requested to fill in the

request-for-the-floor cards

and hand them over to the Meeting staff until the beginning

of the debate of each session. These cards will be provided upon registration together

with other useful documents for the Meeting.

smoke in the courtyard of the Palace of Parliament (level P), which is located close to

the main entrance and is clearly signposted.
