High-level Parliamentary event at the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF, 8 October
2018, Bali Nusa Dua, Indonesia
Dear Honorable Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen,
On behalf of the Parliamentary Network, it is my pleasure to extend you an invitation to the High-level
Parliamentary event during the Annual Meetings of the World Bank and IMF in October 2018 in Bali Nusa
Dua, Indonesia. The event is organized in collaboration with the Parliament of Indonesia and in partnership
with the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund. It presents the opportunity for
parliamentarians from the region and key donor countries to engage with the leadership of international
financial institutions and discuss the economic and development issues of global concern with senior IMF
and World Bank experts.
The Parliamentary event in Bali will include Speakers of parliament and Chairs of parliamentary committees
on budget and finance. The Parliament of Indonesia will co-host the event and send a high-level delegation
to discuss the ost urge t de elop e t issues the regio faces toda . This ear’s discussio s ill focus o
the following topics: (1) anti-corruption and fiscal transparency efforts; (2) investment in human capital; (3)
youth employment; and (4) gender equality.
The International Secretariat in Paris will prepare the event schedule and send it to you in due time.
Sessions will be held in English. As a member of our delegation, we will request your registration to attend
