The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has the honour to inform the
Permanent Representations that on the 29
th
and 30
th
of October 2018, the
Global Parliamentary
Summit against Hunger and Malnutrition
will be held at the Spanish Senate in Madrid, Spain.
This Summit organized by the Spanish Senate, FAO, the Spanish Agency for International
Development Cooperation (AECID) and the Latin America and the Caribbean Parliamentary Front
against Hunger, will focus on seeking political support, as expressed by the parliaments, to achieve
the Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG2), as well as to promote the sharing of experiences
among parliamentarians from different countries.
It would be highly appreciated if the Permanent Representations could kindly convey to its
Parliaments the enclosed document containing the Save the Date of the event and the supportive
documents and transmit its reply of interest possibly by
2 July 2018
