To Whom it May Concern,
My name is Catherine Martin and I am a member of the Irish Parliament and the Chair of the Irish Parliamentary
Women’s Caucus. I am writing to you to let you know you the Ceann Comhairle, Seán Ó Fearghaíl
TD is hosting
the upcoming First International Congress of Parliamentary Women’s Caucuses
in Dublin Castle on the
9
th
and
10
th
of September 2018.
I am delighted to invite two members of your Caucus to attend this event.
The Conference will bring together female parliamentarians from across the globe to discuss issues facing
women and how we can work as parliamentarians to address them. Over the course of two days we will hear
from leading female politicians on their experiences, hold participatory workshops and dialogue sessions, and
meet with members from civil society organisations to best understand how we can help women at all levels of
society. This is a very important year for women in Irish politics as it is the
year anniversary of Women’s
Suffrage in Ireland.
We are currently finalising arrangements, formal invitations and speaker lists and would be very grateful if you
would notify us by
18th May 2018
if any members of your Caucus would be interested in attending this
conference.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Catherine
