Invitation to the next OECD Global Parliamentary Network Meeting in Paris, 11-12 October 2017
Invitation to the next OECD Global Parliamentary Network Meeting in Paris, 11-12 October 2017
In today’s disruptive climate, it is
more important than ever to create a space where policy makers can engage, share and
listen, and the OECD is honoured to welcome parliamentarians, who play a central role in shaping policies that ultimately
improve people’s lives.
Your experience and the views of your citizens are vital to the work of the OECD to help us provide
better policy advice and promote dialogue.
This is why we invite you to join us on
11-12 October 2017
for the
OECD Global Parliamentary Network Meeting,
to
share your unique experience as lawmakers and politicians and to learn from each other and OECD experts. As always,
this meeting will be held in conjunction with the OECD Secretary-General’s
annual address to the Parliamentary Assembly
of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on 10 October. These two events are held back-to-back to facilitate parliamentary
participation in both meetings.
The sessions will cover key areas of OECD work and topics based on your feedback from previous meetings. A draft
programme is attached. Please note that this is still subject to change.
This year, we are also offering a new feature during our
reception on 11 October
–
a
Marketplace.
Do you have an
exciting policy project/initiative in your country or constituency that you want to share with your fellow MPs? If you would
like to share your story, let us know and we will tell you more about the format.
You can also take a look at past meetings and participants on our
members page.
