Dear Honorable Chair,
On behalf of the Parliamentary Network, it is my honour and pleasure to extend to you an invitation for the
2017 Parliamentary Workshop, which will take place during the Annual Meetings of the World Bank and
IMF on 10-11 October 2017, in Washington D.C.
The parliamentary workshop will provide you with the opportunity to engage with senior IMF and World
Bank experts and to expand on the addressed development issues, including: the strengthening of
institutions, especially in fragile situations; anti-corruption and fiscal transparency efforts; investment in
human capital, and greater international cooperation at the institutional and economic level; private sector
development; and the
fi a i g for de elop e t i the orld’s poorest ou tries,
among other topics.
The International Secretariat in Paris will prepare the delegation schedule and send it to you in due time.
Sessions will be held in English. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs,
including transfers from and to the airport. It is important that you make your arrangements early as hotels
fill up quickly at that time of the year.
