Danish Foreign Policy Yearbook 2017
Per Stig Møller’s pessimism on behalf of Europe; Denmark, Brexit, Trump and
much more
Kristian Fischer & Hans Mouritzen
Danish Foreign Policy Yearbook 2017 has just been published and itcontains an
overview of Danish foreign policy and Denmark’s regional and global role. The
academic articles also cover the so-called Greenland Card
—
how may
Greenland’s strategic importance for the United States strengthen Denmark in
Washington and Denmark’s refugee policy as an example of negative ‘nation
—
branding’ like: ‘don’t come to us, go to your neighbor’.
These articles are abstracted in English and Danish at the outset of chapter one.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Anders Samuelsen assesses the international situation
and Danish foreign policy, and Minister of Defence Claus Hjort Frederiksen writes
about Denmark in a time of changing security environment.
The Yearbook is edited by Director Kristian Fischer and Senior Researcher Hans
Mouritzen, and it also includes key statistics, option polls and a bibliography.
