We contact you to inform you of the
41st European Conference of Solidarity
and Support to the Saharawi People,
to be held on
18th and 19th of
November 2016
in
Catalonia,
in
Vilanova i la Geltrú
and attended by
participants from the five continents.
EUCOCO has been continuously held since 1975, when the conflict began, and
has undoubtedly become the most important European Solidarity Movement
towards the Saharawi People annual event. Representatives of governments
that recognize the RASD, deputies and European and national elected officials,
regional governments, provincial and city councils of the Spanish State, Policy
and Trade Unions, Associations of Friendship with the Saharawi people, NGOs
in general, jurists and cultural personalities participate each year in this
must-
attend event of solidarity
of those who defend
the right of self-
determination of the Saharawi People.
This year has been sad for the Sahrawi people, since they have lost its
president,
Mohamed Abdelaziz,
a man of peace who devoted his life to the
cause of freedom for his people.
The 41st EUCOCO will be a memory to his figure and it must be a great
demonstration of global solidarity with the cause, and a loud call to our leaders
so they assume the historical responsibility that Spain has with the Saharawi
people and so they rely on the International law and Justice.
For all these reasons, we invite you to participate in the 41st EUCOCO and that
you show your support and solidarity at a crucial moment for the Saharawi
people.
