fact finding visit to Switzerland by The Transport and Building Committee party spokespersons.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our representative in
Denmark, Kim Lykkegaard. I understand that you have his contact details.
We understand that the members have a tight schedule, but we are flexible with dates and an

In order to ensure broader decision-making basis representatives from SWISSRAIL and Stadler
Rail Management discussed a fact-finding visit to Switzerland with Mr. Christensen. The
purpose of this communication is to offer a fact finding visit to Switzerland.
We will suggest a program where The Transport and Building Committee will meet members of:
•
Federal Office of Transport (FOT) who is the supervisory authority responsible for public
transport in Switzerland

SBB will share their experience relevant for the ‘Frentidens Tog’ project

Switzerland, with its recognized high-quality and extremely busy public transport system, is
likewise the most challenging test area for vehicles and components. It masters varied
topography and meteorological peculiarities. They prove themselves on the ground, in the earth
and in the air by wind and any weather.
The SWISSRAIL Industry Association is an association in accordance with the Swiss Code of
Obligations. It incorporates more than one hundred members from the Swiss rail industry.
Stadler Rail Management is a Swiss manufacture of rolling stock which since its re-birth in 1989
with only 18 employees has grown to a company in 2016 with more than 7.000 employees with
an un-broken delivery record of rolling stock worldwide as well as in Scandinavia to NSB, Mälab
(regional traffic in Stockholm) and to MTR (the open access operator in Sweden).
Our suggestion is to organize a meeting in week 39 or alternatively in week 43 or 45, but we are
very open for alternative suggestions to visit date that fit The Committee.
