Dear Mr. Reinhard Meyer,
I appreciate your answer of 7 January 2016.
I agree that temporary border control and possible imposition of transporters'
liability constitute a challenging situation which I hope can be handled in a way
that causes as little nuisance for travellers across the border between Denmark
and Germany as possible. For that reason, I am pleased to hear that the
Schleswig-Holstein State Government will contribute in averting the negative
impact on travellers.
I will continue the dialogue with bundesminister Dobrindt in regard to ques-
tion on implementation of transporters' liability and I am informed that
Deutsche Bahn and DSB have engaged in an intensive dialogue as well. I shall
keep you informed on any developments regarding the matter.
I look forward to our meeting in Flensburg on 5 February 2016.
