Invitation – Global Parliamentary Conference (GPC), Washington D.C., 10-12 April 2016
Hon. Jens Joel,
It is my honour and pleasure to extend to you an invitation for the Global Parliamentary Conference
of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank & International Monetary Fund (IMF), organised
jointly with the World Bank Group and IMF from 10-12 April 2016 in Washington D.C.
The Global Conference is the Parliamentary Network’s flagship event, bringing together over 200
members of parliament from all over the world, leaders from civil society and partner organizations,
including the leadership from the World Bank and IMF.
This year’s agenda focuses on: (i) Tackling inequality through growth and job promotion; (ii) Climate
change; (iii) Transparency and governance; and the (iv) Implementation of the Sustainable
Development Goals.
We hope that you will be able to attend the Conference in person. If you cannot attend the
Conference, we would be happy to welcome one appointed representative. The official languages of
the conference will be English and French.

Please note that on this website you can also indicate your
interest in the 2016 Spring Meetings; this event is separate from the 2016 Global Parliamentary
Conference and registration is contingent on approval by your country’s Executive Director at the
World Bank Group.
