Dear Honourable Speaker,
The 9
th
session of the Consultative Assembly of Parliamentarians for the International Criminal Court (ICC) and
the Rule of Law will take place in Dakar, from 9-10 December 2016.
Ms. Minou Tavarez Mirabal, President of PGA and myself, address to you this invitation.
The Consultative Assembly of Parliamentarians for the ICC and the Rule of Law will coincide with the 38
th
Annual
Parliamentary Forum of PGA and will be an opportunity for legislators from all regions of the world to discuss, strategize
and mobilize for the fight against impunity and the prevention of the most serious crimes of international concern.
This 9
th
Session will also be the framework for the annual presentation of the Democracy (DDA), by PGA’s
members to reward two personalities whose work has been crucial to the promotion and protection of rights and the
principles of democratic governance.
We kindly ask you to confirm your participation and/ or that of your Parliamentary Delegation to the event,
preferably before 15 September 2016.
It would be an honour to count on your participation considering the important contribution of your delegation
to this Forum, to work towards the creation of a Rules-Based International Order for a more equitable, safe and democratic
world.
