Born on 27 December 1976 in Stadtsteinach; Protestant; married, two children.

Abitur
(higher-education entrance qualification) at the Caspar-Vischer academic
secondary school in Kulmbach in 1996; studied law at the University of Bayreuth from 1996
to 2001; passed first state examination in law in 2001; worked as a research assistant to Prof.
Wilhelm Mößle from 2001 to 2002; qualified as a commercial lawyer in 2002; completed
compulsory period of practical legal training at Bayreuth regional court, the District Govern-
ment of Upper Franconia and the German Embassy in Washington DC from 2002 to 2004;
passed second state examination in law in 2002; obtained doctorate from the University of
Bayreuth in 2013.
Judge at Hof local court (guardianship and estates matters) in 2005; judge at Hof regional
court from 2005 to 2007 (civil matters); public prosecutor at the Hof public prosecution office
from 2007 to 2009 (general offences, juvenile delinquency, child pornography); parental
leave from 2009 to 2010; judge at Hof regional court since January 2011 (general civil mat-
ters, medical and legal malpractice liability, capital investment cases).
