Kobane needs your urgent help
Kurdish people are again under the threat of ethnic cleansing and genocide. After the attack from the terrorist
organization of the Islamic State (IS) on the Kurdish city of Kobane there is a real risk for another massacre against the
Kurdish residents.
While there is still a furious fight is ongoing between the Kurdish female and male fighters and the IS jihadists,
thousands of civilian terrified people fleeing their homes as they will not end in the same horrific situation, which was
happened to the Yazidi Kurds in Shengal in the previous month.
The Kurds in the Kurdish territory have been in relative safe, but now the situation are different as the IS assaults on
the Kobane area with most of its forces and heavy weapons. The IS is attacking the Kurds without mercy and killing
them without differentiate between civilians and fighters. As the IS accuses the Kurds as the allies of the western
crusaders and therefor regarding them as traitors and the enemy of Islam.
The threat against the residents of Kobane is serious and the Kurdish fighters lacks of weapons and their injuries needs
urgent medical treatment. There is lake of clean water and food. Kurdish fighters´ resistance with their primitive
Kalashnikovs against IS´s heavy weapons is incredible and sensational. They have resisted for 23 days without outside
help, and the burden is increasing as the IS makes advancement in some fronts. They need immediate military help
and aids. There is a serious risk that Kobane fall in the hands of the IS´s terrorist. If this happen a massacre of the
Kobane inhabitants is unavoidable.
The international community should be aware that the Kurds do not trust Turkey, which has its own agenda as regards
the Kurds in Syria. Turkish involvement and occupation of Kobane or any other parts of Kurdish territory will not be in
Kurdish advantage. The Kurds are against Turkish occupation and Turkish involvement will make the problem worse.
What ´s most important right now that the international community must stop the IS attack on the Kobane in order to
prevent further ethnic cleansing and killings of innocent people. The international community should repeat the
affective intervention that was happened in the Shengal case. I believe that preventing further crimes against the
Kurds and rescuing them from another humanitarian disaster are duties of the international community.
We urge you to do what you are able to do in order to help the Kurds in Kobane so as to stop this criminal jihadists of
IS and the attack on Kobane.
