CELEBRATING50 YEARS OF AFRICAN UNION
20 OCTOBER 2013Embassies of African Union (AU) member states in Denmark are pleased to hostan afternoon of cultural activities in Copenhagen, celebrating fifty years of coop-eration on the continent. Despite challenges, countries across the continent areexperiencing record high growth rates, significant progress in meeting theMillennium Development Goals of reduced poverty and African ownership ofAfrican challenges. The event is supported by the Danish Ministry of ForeignAffairs and takes place on Sunday 20 October 2013, the day before a high levelAfrica Panel at the Global Green Growth Forum in Copenhagen.
