Main Objectives of the MOU Signed By the GGGI and the National Research Council forEconomics, Humanities and Social Sciences (NRCS)
II. OBJECTIVE OF PARTNERSHIP4. The objective of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to affirm commitment toestablish a close partnership for promoting active cooperation between GGGI and NRCS insupport of capacity building and development of policy options for developing countries in thefield of low emissions and green growth5. To achieve this objective, the Parties will work towards synergizing their work based on theircomparative strengths:(a) NRCS, as a coordinator and publisher of the publication of policy papers on “GreenGrowth: A new paradigm for economic and social development of Korea”, will continue todevelop research in the field of green growth; and(b) GGGI, with intellectual, financial and technical strengths, will support developingcountries in their implementation of policy options related to framework and roadmap of greengrowth6. The priority areas of joint collaboration will include:(a) Identifying areas of joint research and promoting joint research projects;(b) Facilitating and supporting exchange of scholars;(c) Promoting regular exchange of publications and relevant information on theiractivities of mutual interest; and(d) Supporting organization of workshops, seminars and training courses on topics andcontents of mutual interest

[Attached Table 4]Main Points of the Agreement Between the GGGI and
and GGGI intend that the plans will be made available to the general public1. Funding and Project(a) GGGI hereby grants to Climate Works USD 4,250,000(“grand funds”) to be disbursed inaccordance with Section 4 for the Project described in Section 1(b) with the directbeneficiaries of the work being the countries of Brazil, Ethiopia, and Indonesia.(c)willprovide the official Request Letters for the Project from government of Brazil,Ethiopia, and Indonesia attached to this Agreement in Annex E.
2. Reports(a)willsubmit regular report on the progress of the Project and financial statement toGGGI to ensure that the results are satisfactory to GGGI, and benefit Indonesia, Brazil, andEthiopia, and ~ omitted(b) GGGI may requestadditional reports and deliverables, when applicable, for thepurpose of its internal record and/or external audit.3. Term and Termination(a) This Agreement begins on June __, 2010 and terminates on December 31, 2010;provided that if the Project is not completed by December 31, 2010, this agreement shallbe extended until the date the Project is completed or until such date as otherwise agreedbetween the parties.4. Disbursement of Grand funds(c) The board of GGGI approves each project and the initial disbursement of 30% of grandfunds.(d) Halfway through the projects, the project teams will provide the Board with a review ofprogress at a regular Board meeting. If satisfied, the Board will approve the nextinstallment of 30%, if not satisfied the Board will authorize payment of fees and expensesincurred to date and terminate the projects.
(e) At the end of the projects the Board will receive a final report and the Board willapprove the final installment of 40% for the completed work upon receipt of the report.5. Allocation and Use of Funds(a) The allocation of project costs will be as follows: Brazil: $1,600,000Ethiopia: $1,100,000 Indonesia: $1,300,000 Program Management: $250,00013. Annexes(a) The Following Annexes constitute an integral part of this agreement:(5) Three Official Request Letters from the governments of Brazil, Ethiopia, and Indonesia(Annex 5)AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GLOBAL GREEN GROWTH INSTITUTE(GGGI) and THEANNEX bNote: Within that pre-agreed fee,commits to deliver the agreed and products,where necessary changing resources at no additional cost to the client to ensure delivery ofwork at the required quality. Accordingly, the fees and expenses provided in the tablebelow are merely illustrative andshall not be required to provide any back-updocumentation or information nor any receipts for either the fees or expenses. Please alsonote that the fees and expenses vary by office and the nature of the work being performed.
