Copenhagen, 14 March 2014Dear Heads of Delegations,A Presidential Election has been called in Ukraine for 25 May 2014, and following aninvitation from the Chairman of the Parliament of Ukraine, OSCE PA President Krivokapic hasdecided to deploy an Election Observation Mission to this important election.Please find attached a registration form for Members wishing to observe the election inUkraine. We kindly ask you to return the completed form with a copy of the photograph pagefrom Members’ passports to Operations Officer Iryna Sabashuk at the International Secretariatat ([email protected]) as soon as possible, but no later than

5 May 2014.

Please note that due toregistration procedures, we may not be able to accommodate those who register after thedeadline.The International Secretariat estimates an overall mission of some 120 OSCE PAparticipants. To ensure geographical balance within the Assembly mission, we invite eachnational delegation to nominate no more than 10% of this figure (a total of 12 participants fromeach country).Briefings for the mission are expected to be held on 23-24 May. Further information willbe distributed to participants soon.Members are reminded that in accordance with the OSCEPA’s Astana Declaration of 2008, participants are expected to attend the full briefing programmeas well as the de-briefing on the day following the election.I wish to remind you that national parliaments are responsible for their Members’expenses and that only English interpretation will be provided in meetings and briefings.Yours sincerely,
