To The Danish Ski Federation and the Danish Olympic Committee,I am sending you this letter as a petition for you to nominate alpine skier Yina Moe-Lange to theDanish Olympic Winter Games Team 2014. I have coached Yina for several years duringNCAA (The National Collegiate Athletic Association) off-season and have during the last sixmonths helped her prepare for the upcoming Olympics.Yina is in great shape at the moment – she just returned to college skiing and today had afantastic result in her first university race of the season with a 4th place in GS. University racesare scored by team points so competition is very fierce and often times it is some of the bestracing seen outside the world cup due to the format. Yina has overall shown very consistentand improving good results during this fall – finished off with some great results in the NorthAmerican Cup before Christmas and is continuing to show her form.During the last years, Yina has been racing at Middlebury College during the season and trainingwith me during the summers. It might not be seen through her FIS points as she has racedfewer regular races, but she has developed tremendously and college racing has given her afantastic aptitude towards racing under very competitive conditions and she will persevere. The added Danish national qualification standard in alpine skiing is designed for speed skiing. However, based on the current conditions this early winter, I found it would be irresponsible toallow Yina ski World Cup Super G as the risk of injuries was far too great, and I thereforedissuaded her participation. Yina has fulfilled the IOC A-level qualification standards based onher FIS results and has through competitions this fall shown consistent results at high level skiracing commensurate to the Danish national qualification standard.I am currently also coaching Moe Hanaoka from the Japan national ski team as well five maleathletes from the Australia ski team, Canada, Armenia, and the USA. Two of these athletes willalso represent their country at the Sochi Olympics. Several past athletes from my team hasmade it to the USA Ski Team including Jared Goldberg who has very good chance to make it toSochi for Team USA. He is the top world speed skier coming up to the World Cup from theNorth American circuit.Sincerely,Florian Jagodic+18012015956Team director, Team FLOW USA
