What are the possibilities and challenges for international action in Syria, and how canMiddle East peace negotiations move forward in an extremely unstable and conflict-riddenregional security environment?SpeakerDaniel Levyis the Middle East and North Africa Programme Director at the European Council onForeign Relations, London, and a senior fellow at the New America Foundation and the CenturyFoundation. Furthermore, he is the founding editor of Middle East Channel, and a regular mediacommentator.Daniel Levy has been a Senior Advisor to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and to Justice MinisterYossi Beilin during the Barak Government. In addition to this, Levy was an Israeli official for theIsrael/Palestine talks at Taba under Barak and at Oslo B under Itzhak Rabin as well as being a leaddrafter of the model peace agreement (“Geneva Initiative”).
