The Public Dialogue Meeting is the culmination of the Global Thematic Consultation onAddressing Inequalities in the Post-2015 Development Agenda, a joint civil society/UNconsultation, co-convened by UNICEF and UN Women and sponsored by the Governmentsof Denmark and Ghana. The consultation on addressing inequalities is one of eleven thematicconsultations that the United Nations Development Group (UNDG) initiated in 2012. The aimof the Global Consultation on Inequalities is to review progress on the MillenniumDevelopment Goals and to discuss options for addressing inequalities in a new developmentframework after 2015.The Public Dialogue Meeting will discuss the report from the inequalities consultation, its keyfindings and recommendations. The meeting will be streamed live on the consultation webpagewww.worldwewant2015.org/inequalities.The report of the meeting will be made available onthe consultation homepage prior to the meeting.The Public Dialogue meeting will precede a Leadership Meeting on Tuesday 19 February 2013limited to representatives of the UN Secretary General’s High Level Panel on the Post-2015Development Agenda as well as invited leaders and key decision makers from governments,UN agencies, civil society and the private sector.Attached please find the programme for the meeting and an information note.
