Energy is again on the top of the political agenda in many countries. The postFukushima nuclear future, the game changing shale gas, supply uncertainty and pricevolatility, the need for reducing the global CO2emissions and the related climateframework uncertainty, as well as the global recession are rocking the foundation of theroadmap into our energy future.The global energy sector faces huge challenges over the coming decades in order toaddress these uncertainties and transform the energy system towards sustainableenergy.What worries the energy leaders and who is setting the agenda?2013 World Energy Issues Monitor published by World Energy Councilgives anidea of this. It will be presented by Einari Kisel, Senior Fellow, European Policies &Partnership Development, WEC.His presentation will be followed up with views of the important issues on the Danishenergy agenda, presented by The Danish Energy Industries Federation and the DanishEnergy Agency.Finally we will launch our own Danish issues mapping process in conjunction with thisevent.
