Invitation to the L COSAC Meeting on 27–29 October 2013
Dear Colleague,
As Chair of the Committee on European Affairs of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, I
am privileged to invite you to the jubilee L COSAC Meeting to be held on 27–29 October
2013 in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania in Vilnius.
At the L COSAC Meeting, we will discuss the state of play of the Lithuanian Presidency of
the Council of the European Union, the implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the
digital agenda, and cover the following items:
European Elections 2014: Platform for Debate
on the EU Future with Its Citizens
as well as
Democratic Legitimacy in the EU and the Role
of National Parliaments.
In addition, we intend to organise an informal lunchtime session on
parliamentary scrutiny during the meeting.
Please note, dear Colleague, that the draft programme of the L COSAC Meeting includes a
novelty, namely, the COSAC Women’s Forum. Therefore, I would like to kindly ask you to
take gender balance into consideration when forming your parliamentary delegation.

cultural programme on 27 and 28 October 2013.
