Background

Following the analyses of the Arab ‘revolutions’ produced by various analysts during the spring2011, this seminar will address the question of where the popular democratic movements anddemands stand to day, a year later.After the elections of Tunisia (October 2011) and Egypt (January 2012), what is to be expected fromthe electoral victory of Political Islam? And what are the prospects for the ongoing developments inSyria?
