Invitation to an Interparliamentary Conference for Environment andAgricultural/Rural Affairs Committee ChairsDear Chairmen,It gives us great pleasure to invite you to an Interparliamentary Conference forChairs of Environment and Agricultural/Rural Affairs Committees under theauspices of the Danish EU-Presidency. The Conference will focus on the re-form of the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy.The meeting will take place on Thursday June 7 to Friday June 8 in the Dan-ish Parliament at the Christiansborg Palace. The Conference will offer aunique opportunity to take stock of the CAP-reform and discuss the chal-lenges and perspectives of the future Common Agricultural Policy.The meeting will focus on farmers actual experiences with the CAP and thedevelopment of farming as such. In addition the meeting will prepare theground for a debate on how the CAP-reform can contribute to a more bal-anced development between farming and the environment and thus ensuresustainable growth.We kindly ask you to register your participation to the meeting by filling out theenclosed registration form and send it to[email protected].Please return the in-cluded hotel registration form directly to the First Hotel Vesterbro.
