120601IPCGPINV/IPCG&12To: All Member National Parliaments, IPU/CPAJuly 2012OFFICIAL INVITATION TO THEINTERNATIONAL PARLIAMENTARY CONFERENCE ON GENDER AND POLITICS6 - 8 NOVEMBER 2012The United Kingdom Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA UK) and the British Group ofthe Inter-Parliamentary Union (BGIPU) will host a Conference on Gender and Politics at the Houses of Parliament,London from 6-8 November 2012, with the aim of facilitating wide and varied dialogue and knowledge-sharing inthemes around gender and equality, including representation and political life, economic empowerment, education,culture and the media.Up to 120 international parliamentarians will participate and CPA UK and BGIPU are delighted to invite yourParliament to nominateoneparliamentarian to attend the Conference.To apply for a delegate place at theInternational Parliamentary Conference on Gender and Politics,pleasecomplete the enclosedDelegate Nomination Formandreturn it to the Gender and Politics Conference Teamas soon as possible, and by no later than Friday 27 July 2012.If your parliament is bicameral, this invitation is addressed and being sent to both chambers.
